Since our establishment in 1990, we have partnered closely with citizens and with public, private, and third sector organisations to modernise our UK public services. Our mission is to safeguard public-facing services for the future by ensuring that they are citizen-centred, informed by data, and powered in the cloud.

Mohammed Hoque

Head of Technology

Mohammed is Methods' Head of Technology, leading the strategy and architecture, software development, and cloud engineering disciplines. He is an accomplished senior technologist, digital strategist, architect and consultant with a background in private and public sectors, leading delivery of hyperscale private/community/public cloud initiatives and portfolios of major digital transformation programmes across the globe.

Pat Crossley-Smith

Executive Director

Pat has 25 years experience developing digital products and services within the public and private sector. She is passionate about working with public sector clients to build better products and services for citizens. She is a champion of agile and harnessing the power of teams to deliver services that really make a difference to peoples’ lives.

Gary Lawton

Business Development Director

Gary brings 22 years’ experience of providing IT related services within the public sector. During this time he has developed an in-depth knowledge of the Central Government market and amassed an extensive range of contacts, creating productive and strategic long term relationships. Gary promotes a citizen-centric approach with his clients and ensures the appropriate technology is the facilitator for Methods people-focussed digital solutions. His passion for excellence extends into his world outside of work as a successful Team GB Age Group ‘Ironman’ Triathlete, having competed at both the World and European Championships.

Laura Clatworthy

Head of Delivery

With 10 years of public sector delivery management experience and a few more undisclosed years of software engineering behind her, Laura works with multiple government departments and project teams to help deliver and assure the best services for citizens and department users.

Gordon Coe

Digital Director

A versatile and experienced agile delivery manager and product owner with a background in digital transformation and service delivery. Gordon has worked on challenging, complex transformation projects in both the public and private sector. His role leading Methods’ digital division has involved him in a range of digital transformation projects in the public sector, such as HMLR’s Digital Street and the award-winning Ethnicity Facts and Figures service for Cabinet Office.

Nicolle Watkins

Business Consultant

A business consultant with the local government team, Nicolle also holds a PhD from the University of Essex. Nicolle is experienced in driving digital transformation, process redesign, and finding efficiencies and savings at pace, in close collaboration with her local government clients across the UK.

Kennedy Madevu

Junior Graphic Designer

Kennedy joined Methods straight from achieving a BA degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from Coventry University. During his short time at Methods, Kennedy has been a part of many digital and print brand promotion/identity projects, as well as filming and editing Methods' first live headquarters event. Kennedy brings passion to every project, an infectious positivity and a flexible design skill set.

Junaid Mohammad

Cloud Security Engineer

Passionate about security and helping customers evolve into a secure and compliant working environment. Security has been an integral part of Junaid's life; working from GCHQ as a graduate to big enterprise financial banks for 15 years and now at Methods, as a cloud security specialist.

Liz Whiteley

Senior Business Development Manager

Liz is a northern born business development director at Methods. A close ally of the growth hub and GMCA and was asked to support them when meeting BEIS and the Ministers. She has featured in Tech North (now Tech Nation) Digital Powerhouse Report for her procurement views. Liz is an angel investor and has an interest in startups and how they can solve public sector problems.

Joe Palmer

Junior Consultant

Joe is a Junior Consultant within the Change and Innovation team at Methods. This is Joe’s first role, having graduated from the University of Leeds, where he studied Sociology. He has been involved in projects across two local authorities in his short time at Methods, with his first coming as part of an internship in early 2020. Joe brings with him a passion for resident engagement and service improvement, driven from his experience of researching public and third sector organisations during his time at University.
