Last week Karen Nell and Mark Hewitt had the privilege of attending the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards Ceremony held in the Long Room at the Honourable Artillery Company, in the City of London.
Sir Ken Olisa OBE, the Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London attended the event as the keynote speaker and awarded the organisations along with representation from the tri-service: AVM Ranald Munro CB CBE TD VR DL (Commandant General of the RAuxAF and Chair of Greater London RFCA), Captain Paul Hill RD RNR (Maritime Reserve and Chair of City RFCA) and Lieutenant Colonel Darren Johnston (SO1 Engagement at the London District HQ).
We were beyond delighted to be awarded the ERS Gold Award for our ongoing commitment and dedication to supporting those in the Armed Forces. Within the Methods Group we currently have 30 ex Armed Forces people, 16 of whom joined us through our GRAVITATE scheme. Our Met Vets community of Interest launched last year designed to support, connect, and empower our Armed Forces community, including veterans, reservists and their families, and we will continue to support them over the coming years.
These awards are a testament to an organisation’s dedication to hiring, training, and championing service members and veterans. Achieving the Gold Award is a significant milestone, symbolising an organisation’s exceptional support and advocacy for the Armed Forces community and veterans’ employment.
