Myself and Amelia Campbell had the pleasure of attending the Windsor Fellowship Graduate Destination STEM networking event last week at NatWest. The Windsor Fellowship is known for its dedication to supporting and developing leadership among students from diverse backgrounds.
It was fantastic to witness students showcasing their passion for STEM and demonstrating courage by stepping beyond their comfort zones to engage in networking opportunities with six partner companies.
Throughout the event, students engaged meaningfully with industry professionals, building their confidence and learning about various career paths available to them. The effectiveness of the event was reflected in the feedback we received, with students expressing how much they gained from meeting company representatives, discovering new opportunities, and receiving constructive feedback on their networking abilities.
Looking ahead, we have an exciting series of events planned for the coming months:
- Wednesday, 16th October – Insight into STEM careers
- Wednesday, 20th November – Insight into STEM careers
- Thursday, 27th November – Methods In-Person Workshop
Being involved in opportunities like these demonstrate our ongoing commitment to supporting STEM education and career development. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical guidance, we’re helping to build confidence in future STEM professionals while offering valuable insights into the diverse career paths available within the field.
