Last night Swindon Borough Council’s Emerging Technology team won the Gold award for ‘Innovation’ at the iese Public Sector Transformation wards!
The ‘Award for Innovation’ category looked at work that delivered new innovative technologies or facilities that could transform the delivery of a local public service.
The Emerging Tech business model and team were set up by Sarah Peña in 2019, with £100K in seed funding. In two years the team delivered 12 Proof of Concepts that have transformed services and made a positive impact on Swindon residents, and seen returns of £1.5M and 15k hours!
