Making a difference
The work we do each day is focused on delivering a positive difference to the public sector for the benefit of society as a whole. We want to take things a step further
We have a strong focus on society
At Methods, we aim to create value through everything we do for our customers, our staff, our communities and the planet. Working with the Social Value Business, we’re on a journey to do this brilliantly. To show the public sector that their values are our values and that our company is investing in a thriving society for all.
We have created six pledges in the areas of charity, career development, graduate training and apprenticeships, waste reduction and the use of digital technology in safeguarding public services.
The Quality Mark recognises distinction in values-led business that benefits customers, communities and the planet. It is one of the most rigorously tested standards of its kind in the UK. The Social Value Quality Mark provides independent verification and measurement of a company’s investment in society.
To gain the Quality Mark, we have committed to generating positive value for society through all of our operations. The awarding panel were impressed by initiatives such as our fundraiser for Women’s Aid, our chosen charity partner, during which £950 was raised in a single day in March. The funds were used to help set up 95 live chat lines, providing a lifeline to women at risk of domestic abuse.
We also launched a pilot Careers Support Service to help those who have lost their job, or are at risk of job loss, as a result of Covid-19.
