Join us for this special event to celebrate International Women's Day 2021
8th March, 12pm-1pm GMT
To celebrate International Women’s Day 2021 you are invited to our panel event, exploring how COVID-19 has impacted women. This year’s IWD theme is ‘choose to challenge’, however, statistics tell us that women have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and have had very little choice in the challenges presented.
We’ve experienced the last year in very different ways and have found unique ways to cope. For some this pandemic has resulted in a better work life balance, and more time spent with our children, for others it has led to anxiety and loneliness. Our experiences are unique, but this hasn’t been easy for any of us.
• What impact has the pandemic had on our ‘normal’ lives?
• What should we be ‘calling out’ – could we indeed ‘choose to challenge’?
• What have we learned about ourselves, our resourcefulness and vulnerabilities?
During this one hour, virtual event, we will hear from four women with different backgrounds and circumstances from across the Methods group. Some are single mums, others are juggling home schooling and employment, others are living alone; all have faced their own challenges over the past year. Our panel members are Jadene Aderonmu, Jennee Thomas, Eva Fielding and Melinda Lord, and will be hosted by Lucy Kerslake.
