The Government Digital Service (GDS) has committed to realising its concept of Government-as-a-Platform (GaaP). GaaP has the potential to revolutionise public services, radically lowering costs and transforming services for citizens and businesses.

Methods has been part of the GaaP team since 2015. Our focus has been to advise on how government can move away from duplicative, siloed solutions, to services that can be simplified, standardised and shared.

Crossing the lines between technology development and service redesign, our work has involved user research, deep discovery programmes with partner government agencies, and business case development.
The output of our work with GDS have led to the roll-out of several Alphas to test and further develop GaaP.
