I am delighted with the publicity the Race Disparity Unit – finalists in the Digital Leaders team of the year – has recently received.

The Women and Equalities Select Committee (WESC), the cross-bench parliamentary body, published a report on 11th June on the Race Disparity Audit where they described the Audit as ‘world-leading’ and ‘ground-breaking’.

Go team!

However, whilst the Audit highlighted inequalities in society, it also surfaced the inconsistencies in cross-department data collection and measurement, an area that clearly needs addressing. The committee said that ‘without consistent data departments would struggle to develop the policies needed to address such inequalities’.

There have also been commendations from international civil rights campaigners:

Fingers crossed for Digital Leaders
